Testimonials
Chris Felgate,
Head of Human Resouces
Westminster Adult Education Service - March 2010
Following the financial challenges being felt within the FE/AE sector through Government funding changes WAES sought assistance from WPM in improving both its Bid Management and Project Management systems.
The improvements were required to assist the Service`s senior management team and , in particular, its Business Development section to improve the success rate of its bids for external funding to various external agencies and funding sources.
WPMs extensive experience in this field and their flexible approach assisted the Service considerably in developing and improving both its BM and PM systems and procedures.
WPM's training is sharp, client focused and give you the information that you need quickly and clearly to enable it to be used immediately.
WPM's
flexible, client tailored approach assisted the Service in developing a learn-apply-revise-implement approach to our business needs in a very short space of time and at very competitive rates.
Tom Reilley, Project Support Officer, Blackpool Council
WPMs' practised approach, 'can do' attitude and good nature have been key factors in developing a genuine partnership and successful working relationship.
WPM has worked closely with us to understand our requirements and deliver a cost effective, extremely well planned and structured project management training schedule. Moreover, they have been extremely flexible when scheduling courses.
Very organised, very professional and very consistent, would we use WPM again, an unquestionable, yes!
Jo Lane, Head of Organisational development& Learning, Stockport MBC commented:
“We chose WPM from a number of potential providers to help us introduce a corporate approach to project management. This has been successfully implemented and thanks to the excellent training programmes, also delivered by WPM, is now in extensive use throughout The Council with minimum disruption. This simple and unified approach has led to better communication and is proving to be very effective in terms of managing costs and ensuring projects are delivered on time. The extra clarity it has given us means that senior management have much greater awareness of the overall project situation and, consequently, are much better placed to make the right decisions at the right time.”
Mark James, Capital Programme Manager, Penwith District Council commented:
“We at Penwith District Council employed WPM to develop and train officers from Corporate Management to Project Management level in a Corporate Project Management Method. The method is based on “PRINCE 2” and has been tailored to fit our authority's needs. Our Council has a number of projects being delivered ranging from multi-million pound regeneration projects to smaller in house revenue projects.
Working with WPM and using their experience from other authorities gave us the opportunity to develop a method of managing our projects, that is sized appropriately to each project. This not only enabled us to reduce the risk of over managing projects but also ensured that there was adequate flexibility for all types of project.
I personally found WPM very helpful and professional to work with, from our first conversation to selecting them as our chosen supplier. One key example was their approach to delivering the method and the training that actually use the method to manage its delivery. This not only ensured we all understood what was being delivered but also gave me the opportunity to learn by hands on experience.
WPM provided all the templates and training of the method and we found them to be very flexible in allowing us to tailor the contract that best suited us. They not only had the training skills but also had the IT in-house support to deliver our intranet browser, which has become fundamental to our project management.
I would recommend WPM as a friendly, professional supplier that continues to provide ongoing support and advise as and when you need it.”
A Big Thank-you to all our clients who have supported us over the years
