Bid and Project Coaching Service
Purpose
To provide advice and guidance to a named resource for your bids and projects. Coaching can be used as part of a training and development programme or as a means for informal cross-skilling on a method or technique. Examples include guidance:
- On new bid management or project management methods
- On new bid management or project management techniques
- For people recently assigned to a new role, such as a Project Manager newly assigned to a project or Bid Manager newly assigned to a Bid
- For people recently promoted

Method
Coaching can be delivered in various forms ranging from email/telephone guidance, a half/full day review to a series of reviews. The objectives and format of the coaching activity will be captured and documented in an Assignment Brief before any coaching is undertaken. The Assignment Brief includes the Terms Of Reference for the Consultant.
Deliverables
- A suitably skilled Consultant
- Assignment Brief
- Coaching Notes and Performance Feedback as agreed
Reporting & Reviewing
The Consultant produces reports as specified in the Assignment Brief. These may include:
- Coaching Notes - a summary of key points discussed, issued to the person being coached
- Performance Feedback - observations by the coach on any issues encountered, issued to the Hiring Manager or the Line Manager. This is a confidential report
Assumptions
- A Terms of Reference is agreed
- The Client provides meeting rooms for the Coaching days
- Minimum chargeable unit is ½ day, unless travel time is more than 1 hour, then minimum chargeable unit is 1 day
Acceptance Criteria
- The Consultant has the appropriate skills for the type of coaching required, e.g. PRINCE2™ Practitioner, Certificate for PRINCE2™ Coaching, PPSO Certificate for Project Support Coaching, UKAPMP Practitioner, etc.
- Personal Action Plans are agreed at the end of each coaching session
Price
Pricing is agreed before the start of the assignment and is dependent on the duration and location of the assignment.
