Course Description
Microsoft Project is the most commonly used stand-alone and network-based project management software tool. The latest versions facilitate sharing common data sources between collaborative project teams working across intranets. The Microsoft Project Advanced course has been created for those people who wish to build on their knowledge of Microsoft Project. The course continues from an introductory knowledge point and allows the delegates to see further extended features of the program together with their uses and benefits. At the end of the course the delegate will be able to demonstrate an advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft Project application. The course lasts for 2 days and includes the following:

Course Objectives
On completion of the course the delegates will be able to:
- Configure and customise Microsoft Project
- Develop a detailed plan showing a Product Breakdown Structure
- Assign resources and review and resolve over-allocation
- Filter data and customise views and reports to provide useful and understandable information
- Update the plan to reflect actual progress
- Work effectively with multiple projects
- Transfer Microsoft Project data to and from other applications
Intended Audience
This course is suitable for project personnel who need to plan and control projects to ensure they are brought in on time and to cost. The course is aimed at both prospective and existing Project Managers and those responsible for the Planning and Control aspects of a project support environment.
Prerequisites
Delegates should have hands-on experience of using Microsoft Project or another project planning program to a proficient degree.
