PRINCE2™ 3-day Conversion/Re-registration to Practitioner

Course Description

The event covers the processes, components and techniques included in the PRINCE2™ Project Management Method. The course prepares delegates for the APM Group Practitioner exam (included in the course).

Delegates must have passed the Foundation Examination in order to attend this course, or in the case of a Re-registration, have taken the Practitioner exam within the last 3-5 years.

The 3-day course includes the following:

  • Individual and Group exercises
  • Sample Exam Papers
  • Evening Work

It is essential that delegates allow time for pre-course work (recommended about 4 hours).

Course Objectives

The course is designed to:

  • Ensure delegates that have passed the Foundation Exam are prepared for the Practitioner Exam using practical exercises of sample exam papers
  • Provide an overview of the topics covered in the Foundation course, such as Components, Processes and Techniques used in PRINCE2™
  • Discuss how PRINCE2™ can be applied in practice
  • Prepare delegates to take the PRINCE2™ Practitioner examination or Re-registration exam

Intended Audience

The event is designed for anyone who has attended the PRINCE2™ Foundation event and now wants to gain the PRINCE2™ Practitioner's certificate, or for those that have taken but not passed the Practitioner exam and wish to re-sit it.

Anyone who sat the Practitioner exam prior to October 2000 and would like to convert their qualification to Registered Practitioner status, or for those who wish to maintain their Registered Practitioner status.

Course Outline

This course is accredited by the APM Group

Day 1 - Overview and Refresher: The day starts with an overview of the top-level Foundation topics. The day then continues with refresher topics of the processes, components, and techniques with individual exercises and sample exam papers.

Day 2 - Further Refresher Sessions: Day 2 continues with the refresher topics of the processes, components, and techniques using the sample exam papers for practice.

Day 3 - Exercises and Examination: On the last day the final refresher sessions and exercises are completed with the remaining sample exam papers in preparation for the Practioner Examination. The formal examinations start after lunch, those re-sitting or converting from Foundation to Practitioner will sit a 3 hour multiple choice examination and those re-registering will sit a 1 hour multiple choice exam.
