Programme Management Practitioner (MSP™), Training and Accreditation

Course Description

The event provides a comprehensive understanding of the Managing Successful Programmes (MSP™) philosophy, and how it can be applied to live programmes. The course prepares delegates for the Association of Project Management Group (APMG) examinations (included in the course) and maximises their prospects of becoming certified Programme Management Practitioners. The course lasts for 5 days and includes the following:

Course Objectives

On completion of the course the delegate will have:

  • Demonstrated how to plan and organise a programme
  • Defined the benefits of programme management
  • Demonstrated the techniques of closing a programme
  • Demonstrated how to apply the MSP™ philosophy to a given scenario
  • Prepared for and sat, if applicable, the APM Group Programme Management Foundation and Practitioner examinations

Intended Audience

The course is recommended for managers with full time responsibility within a programme environment.

Event Content

The course addresses all aspects of Programme Management, including the impact on an organisation of using Programme Management tools to affect Culture, Pace and Benefits.

Examination and Certification

The event contains three examinations:

The Foundation exam - 40 minute multiple-choice paper

Intermediate exam - 90 minute closed book examination, consisting of 5 questions, 3 of which must be answered

The Practitioner exam - 90 minute open book examination, based around a case study; 1 question of 2 or more parts must be answered

Successful Delegates become registered as Programme Management Practitioners.
