![]() Penwith District Council Coat of Arms | "We at Penwith District Council employed WPM to develop and train officers from Corporate Management to Project Management level in a Corporate Project Management Method. The Method is based on PRINCE2 and has been tailored to fit our authority's needs. Our Council has a number of projects being delivered ranging from multi-million pound regeneration projects to smaller in house revenue projects. Working with WPM and using their experience from other authorities gave us the opportunity to develop a Method of managing our projects, that is sized appropriately to each project. This not only enabled us to reduce the risk of over managing projects but also ensured that there was adequate flexibility for all types of project. I personally found WPM very helpful and professional to work with, from our first conversation to selecting them as our chosen supplier. One key example was their approach to delivering the Method and the training that actually use the Method to manage its delivery. This not only ensured we all understood what was being delivered but also gave me the opportunity to learn by hands on experience. WPM provided all the templates and training of the Method and we found them to be very flexible in allowing us to tailor the contract that best suited us. They not only had the training skills but also had the IT in-house support to deliver our intranet browser, which has become fundamental to our project management.
