About the Author

Professor Colin Coulson-Thomas Dr Colin J Coulson-Thomas, an experienced Chairman of award winning companies and Professor of Direction and Leadership at the University of Lincoln, leads the Winning Business Research and Best Practice Programme and helps entrepreneurial and corporate teams to develop their businesses. He has reviewed the processes and practices for winning business of over 100 companies and advised over 100 boards on business and/or board development. A regular speaker at conferences and corporate events, he has given some 300 presentations in over 30 countries.

An experienced businessman and process vision holder of major international projects, Colin’s early career was in marketing and general management with the Longman Group and Xerox. A former course director of the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Marketing Directors’ Workshop and International Marketing Programme, he is an active consultant and company chairman; this includes the chairmanship of Cotoco Ltd, which develops award winning sales support tools. He also serves on the Institute of Director’s Professional Accreditation Committee and Board of Examiners and the Governance and Risk Management Committee of the ACCA.
